The shelf system INPUNCTO was inspired by hand-forged stair railings, where a spike is driven through the heated steel. The round holes are each offset by 90° vertically to absorb lateral and shear forces. An additional X-bracing, as known from conventional shelves, can therefore be dispensed with. This makes the shelf accessible from the back as well, expanding its range of applications. The materials steel and solid wood are combined in a way that they can be easily separated and recycled. INPUNCTO is easily expandable through this system, thus adapting to the user’s needs.
